William E. Ether Jr., 72, of Oakhurst, passed away on Monday, Feb. 29. William was a 1961 graduate of Rumson-Fair Haven High School. He worked at the Atrium at Navesink Harbor in Red Bank. William was an avid reader and enjoyed sailing and kite flying.
William was predeceased by his wife, Anna Marie; his long-time companion, Angie Giambra; and his sister, Dorothy McAndrew.
He is survived by his sisters, Louise Whitfield of Rumson and Betty Obermann of Newport, Vermont; his nephews and nieces, Ron, Jim and Sarah Whitfield, Kate Fessler and Mike Karbo; two great-nieces and one great-nephew; and two great- great-nieces and -nephews.
