Geraldine “Gerry” Moore, 67, of Belford, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Feb. 26, 2021, at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in the Great Kills section of Staten Island. It was there that she met her high school sweetheart and future husband Tom. She lived by the words, “It is better to give than receive.” She was an avid reader, loved the NY Yankees and loved going on cruises. She loved teaching and her students. Gerry adored her family and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Family was most important.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Tom; sons and daughter-in-law, Tommy Moore, and Steven and Noreen Moore; daughter Allyson Moore; grandchildren, Luke and Keegan Moore; mother, Mickey Haggerty; siblings, Joan, Barbara, John, Tom, Susan, Nancy, Robert and Matthew; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends, colleagues and students.

Gerry was preceded in death by her father, John Haggerty, and her sister, Marilyn.
