Grammy Winning Group To Perform At Ranney School

TINTON FALLS –Grammy Award-winning vocal group New York Voices perform at Ranney School’s Panther Hall Friday, Oct. 28.
The ensemble takes jazz to new levels offering productions infused with Brazilian, R & B, classical and pop. In addition to recording several CDs in collaboration with the Count Basie Orchestra and the Manhattan Transfer, New York Voices has also appeared in live performances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center alongside jazz artists Ray Brown, Nancy Wilson, George Benson and the Boston Pops.
The concert will also feature performances by Ranney ensembles and soloists, such as pianist and vocalist Tor Miller ’12 and pianist Christa Dalmazio ’12.  The Upper School Chorus and Jazz Ensemble will perform with New York Voices.
The concert is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7 p.m., with an Upper and Middle School Art Exhibition in RSPA Panther Hall Gallery prior to the event. Dessert and coffee will be available during intermission, and guests will have a chance to personally meet various performing artists after the show.
