Marie Antoinette “Ann” Henry Grause died after a long ill- ness on Thursday, June 11 at the Chelsea at Tinton Falls. Ann was born in Perth Amboy and attended the Oak Knoll School from 1940 to 1944 and graduated from Rosemont College in 1948. After raising seven children, Ann returned to school and became a licensed vocational nurse. She worked at Riverview Hospital for 15 years where she took great care of her patients and was beloved by her colleagues. Ann’s greatest loves were her children and grandchildren. She often said the busy years spent raising her children were the happiest in her life. A longtime member of The Sands Beach Club, Ann loved nothing better than chatting with friends and family near the ocean. She enjoyed reading, bridge, gardening and planning family meals and gatherings. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends. Ann is survived by her seven children, Joe, Aimee, Toni, Bea, Betsy, Bob and Heidi; 16 grandchildren; and one great- grandson. She is also survived by her brother, Peter C. Henry. Her ex-husband, Joseph T. Grause, died in 2005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 26 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Rd, Fair Haven.
