Guido Frank Innacelli

1434

Guido Frank Innacelli of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully after a long illness Feb. 18, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosalie Parker Innacelli; daughter Lisa Marie Innacelli (George Hall) of Wilmington, North Carolina; son Christopher Parker Innacelli (Shana Stowitzky); and granddaughter Aislinn Vittoria Innacelli of Tampa, Florida. He is also survived by his sisters, Lucia Limbach (Bob), of Georgetown, Delaware, and Maria Mullevey (Jim) of Red Bank.

He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Victoria Innacelli of Red Bank.

Guido was born June 24, 1946. He was a graduate of St. James Grammar School in Red Bank, Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft (Class of 1964) and Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Class of 1968). He was a mechanical engineer for Square D/Schneider Electric Company in Knightdale, North Carolina, for 45 years.

Guido grew up on a small quiet street in Red Bank near the river and enjoyed a wonderful and active childhood. He was the neighborhood paperboy and was diligent with his youthful job, riding his bike and vigorously tossing the rolled newspapers left and right. Guido was filled with curiosity about how things worked and what made them spin, rotate, whir or accelerate.  Becoming a mechanical engineer and moving to Raleigh to work for Square D/Schneider Electric was a perfect fit.

He was a real beach boy, taking daily drives to Sea Bright to check out the waves. He loved to swim and surf with his long board. Walking barefoot on the sand was a sheer delight to him. He continued his love for the ocean with frequent trips to Wilmington, North Carolina, and other nearby beaches.

Although a “Jersey Boy” he completely embraced his Southern life in North Carolina. Quickly making friends, Guido and Rosalie enjoyed their gourmet club for over 40 years and were very active with their church parishes.

Guido had a wonderful dimpled smile and laughed easily. He enjoyed life to the fullest and had a life well lived by being devoted to his wife, children, granddaughter, family and friends. He was kind and funny, but also reflective and sentimental.

Guido will be sorely missed by his cousins, nieces and nephews and all who knew him.

In memory of Guido, donations can be made to the Diocese of Raleigh Catholic Charities, 7200 Stonehenge Drive, Raleigh, NC 27609; Transitions Hospice at transitionscare.org/donate; or to Alzheimer’s research at act.alz.org/donate.
