Helen M. Heston, age 84, of Middletown, known by family and close friends as Milli, passed Jan. 28, three days after celebrating her 84th birthday, surrounded by family and dear friends.

Milli grew up in Norristown, Pennsylvania. When she wasn’t working at her parents’ delicatessen she could be found riding her horse Brownie or spending time with her dad on his motor boat. After graduating from Norristown High School, she went on to business college and worked as a secretary until her marriage in September 1962. She and her family later relocated to Middletown, where she was so moved by the community, she immediately joined the Middletown School system PTA.

Milli loved the outdoors and it was not uncommon to find her generously feeding the fauna around her home or enjoying golf with her husband and friends at Navesink Country Club.

Milli is survived by her two daughters, Holly Ann Heston of Red Bank and Wendy Lee Heston, currently residing in California; and her beloved cats, Skye, Sage and Rory.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Francis M. Heston, known by close friends as Tony.  She will be dearly remembered by her daughters as a caring, compassionate mom who was always there for support, love and kindness.

Milli loved her community at Shadow Lake Village and was an avid golfer and member of the pet club, where she enjoyed raising money for local animal charities.

Services are private. Donations in Milli’s memory can be made to Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue, P.O. Box 81, Shoals, WV 25562 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
