James R. Ientile

1166

James R. Ientile of Colts Neck passed away Nov. 6, 2023, with his family by his side. Born in Summit, he lived in Chatham until the early 1960s when his family moved to Middletown. He graduated Mater Dei High School in Middletown in 1968 and then went on to Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts.

He grew up in his family’s construction business, F.J. Ientile, Inc., and eventually ventured out on his own, founding James R. Ientile, Inc. in 1989. Jim’s passions were his business and his family. He enjoyed golf, travel and especially family dinners. He frequently traveled to his second home in the Turks and Caicos, where he will be missed by many good friends. He often donated his time and resources to various organizations, without looking for recognition. Those who knew him well knew he had a heart of gold.

Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, F.J. and Doris Ientile. He is survived by his cherished wife of 44 years, Sandy. He was immensely proud of his three children, Kristen McQueen and her husband Andrew of Colts Neck, Rocky Ientile and his fiancée Annie Schweers of Freehold Township, and Peter Ientile and his wife Elizabeth of Wanamassa. He adored his three granddaughters, Sophia, Olena and Emelia, who will miss their Poppy very much. He also leaves behind his brother Philip (Flip) Ientile, his sisters Susan Vasilev and Carol Ientile, and several nephews and many good friends.

Visitation was held Nov. 10 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Nov. 11 at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, it was Jim’s wish that donations be made to the Sayreville Association for Brain Injured Children, 251 Jernee Mill Road, Sayreville, NJ  08872, or to a favorite charity.
