Janet Hartoin, 61, of Tinton Falls, passed away July 27 at Riverview Medical Center. She was born in Red Bank to her loving parents Allen and Janet (Nicol) Lewis. Janet received her bachelor’s degree from Monmouth College and shortly after that began her career as a project manager with AT&T.
She enjoyed putting together scrapbooks of numerous occasions documenting the wonderful memories she made. Janet loved the time she spent in the Catskills with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of a book club, enjoyed crocheting and tending to her garden.
She was predeceased by her father Allen Lewis.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Robert R. Hartoin of 25 years; her loving children, Melissa Morris and her fiancé George Slater and Marissa Cannon; her dear mother Janet Nicol Lewis; her cherished grandchildren, Casey Kruse, Kylie Kruse, Cade Slater, Ethan Slater and Fynn Slater; and her siblings, Allen Lewis and wife Charlie and Diane Quarles and husband Keith.
Visitation was held July 31 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A service was held at the funeral home Aug. 1 with interment following at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Janet’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Attn: Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
