Jeanne McGregor, 97, passed away peacefully at home July 16, 2026. A native of East Orange, Jeanne moved to Rumson, where she lived for 40 years as a loving and devoted mother of five. When her children were grown, Jeanne moved to Florida, where she lived for 15 years.
In 2002, she returned to New Jersey and settled in Oceanport. She was a member of St. Dorothea’s Church, where she sang in the choir for several years.
Janet enjoyed playing tennis, playing cards with the Oceanport seniors, and taking bus trips to Atlantic City. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and was adored by her grandchildren.
Jeanne is survived by her children, Scott, Tracy, Alison and Robin; her brother, Paul Ronan of California; her grandchildren, Megan, Ashley, Andrew, Natalie and TJ; and 22 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Laurie and her grandson Ian.
Visitation was held July 22 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. Mass of Christian Burial was held July 23 at St. Dorothea’s Church, Eatontown. Burial followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
