Joan Carolyn Zemalkowski, 84, of Hazlet, passed away April 8, 2022. She was born June 3, 1937, in Red Bank to John and Dorothy Fisler.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband John of 64 years; daughter Terree; sister Dorothy; her parents John and Dorothy Fisler; and granddaughter Jessi. She is survived by her brother, John Fisler; two children, Sherree Patterson and John Zemalkowski Jr.; grandchildren, Brandee, Bryan, Kelee, Aimee, Nicolas, Emilee, Jenni and Kerri; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Blake, Brynlee, Kylee, Jack, Lennon, Astrid, Marley, Prudence, Jude, Kyle and Zachary; and a great-great-grandson Kingston.
Joan loved to travel, enjoyed camping, pizza nights, FaceTime with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, looking at old photos, listening to Elvis and loved watching Judge Judy while she sat with her beloved dog Roxee. She enjoyed flowers, watching the butterflies and time at the beach with family.
Friends and family paid their respects April 11 and 12 with a funeral service April 12 at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, Belford. Entombment followed at Fairview Cemetery.
