John H. Miller Sr., 82, of Middletown, passed away Nov. 27 at Riverview Medical Center. He was born in Long Branch to the late Joseph and Florence (Brady) Miller. John proudly served the country in the United States Navy on the USS Bennington. He had a talent for woodworking and carved many beautiful ducks, fish and bowls. He loved taking walks on the Leonardo Beach and Sandy Hook.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Evelyn, Joseph, Florence and Blair. Surviving are his loving children: John H. Miller Jr. and his wife Jane, Barbara A. Miller and her husband Joe and Theodore T. Miller; and his cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Cara, Brody, Jenna, Joey and Nicole; and his brother Leo T. Miller.
All arrangements are private and entrusted to the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent in John’s memory to Vietnam Veterans of America.
