John J. Elbrecht, 80, of Bainbridge, New York, passed away Aug. 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Long Branch and lived in Monmouth County before retiring to Bainbridge. John worked as an iron worker for Local 363 for over 45 years. He was a member of The Iron Workers District of Northern NJ. He cherished his beloved dog Daisy May.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, Patricia Hopf Elbrecht; three sons, Michael (Victoria) Elbrecht, Jack Elbrecht (Monica Bias Elbrecht), and Scott Elbrecht; stepson Timothy (Kimberly Bowen); sister Linda Elbrecht; and three grandchildren, Chad, Kavi and Chuchi.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Elbrecht Jr. and Catherine Elbrecht.
Visitation was held Aug. 20 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Funeral services were Aug. 21 at the funeral home. Entombment followed at Holmdel Cemetery & Mausoleum, Holmdel.
