Joyce Trezza, 85, of Middletown, passed away June 1, 2021.
Born in Long Branch in 1935 to parents Frank and Grace Donahue, Joyce grew up in Brooklyn, New York, before ultimately settling in Middletown with her husband of 67 years, Daniel Trezza. Together they operated the family business, Trezza’s Deli & Liquor Store, and raised four children.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Grace Donahue, son Daniel Jr., and brother, Edward.
She is survived by her husband Daniel; children Joyce (Michael Lougee), Linda (Bill O’Mara), Jim Trezza (Kathy), and daughter-in-law Sally; siblings Grace Daiker and Sue Inzeo; grandchildren Billy, Kerry, Jamie, Erin, Danny, Nikki, Ryan, Michael, Chris and Jeffrey; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Joyce loved golfing and spending time with family, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and so many friends. She will be truly missed by all.
The family held a memorial service June 4 at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, Middletown. A prayer service was held June 5 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A repast followed at the home of Erin and John Monigan in Middletown.
In leu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation at lymphoma.org in Joyce’s name.
