Juanita L. Dean, 86, of Tinton Falls, passed peacefully July 24, 2022, at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Juanita was born in the Bronx, New York, to Curtis and Louise (Reynolds) Wheeler.
She earned her nursing degree from Monmouth Medical Center and through the years worked for Jersey Shore Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center, John L. Montgomery Hospital in Freehold and, most recently, as a private duty nurse.
Juanita was predeceased by her brothers, Marvin and Barry Wheeler, and, in 2017, by her beloved husband of 61 years, George O. Dean.
She leaves to mourn her loss her sons, Anthony “Tony,” Derrick and wife Lana, and Brian Dean, all of Tinton Falls; her brother Curtis Wheeler of Mexico; and her sister Geneva Wheeler Williams of California; her six grandchildren, Devin, Shania, Kianna, Terrence and Brittany Dean and Damian Vinson; and a host of great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends visited Aug. 1 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A funeral home service was held, followed by entombment at Monmouth Memorial Park in Tinton Falls.
