Thomas Michael Lawless, 50, of Rumson, passed away March 5. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to New Jersey during high school.
Thomas graduated from Montclair State with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He enjoyed his time he spent in the TKE Fraternity where he made lifelong friends. Thomas worked 28 years in public accounting and was a partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Thomas was a member of the Navesink Country Club where he was an avid golfer. Most of all, Thomas found joy spending time with his family creating memories in his home which he loved and was so proud of.
He is predeceased by his mother Ruth (Olsen) Lawless.
Surviving is his wife Dena Ann Lawless; his sons Tyler and Ryan Lawless; his brothers Kevin Wingler and his wife Barbara; William Lawless and his wife Andrea; and Sherrie Wingler and her husband Wes. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held March 8 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 9 at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Rumson. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown. Immediately following the burial, the celebration of Thomas’s life continued at Navesink Country Club, Middletown.
