Arlene F. Lehnert, 89, of Lakewood, passed away April 28. She was born in Brooklyn and lived in Middletown for 25 years, moving to Lakewood 19 years ago. Arlene worked as a customer relations and marketing person for the New York Stock Exchange for 25 years. She was a member of St. Luke’s RC Church, Lakewood. Arlene also was a member of the choir at St. Catharine’s Church, Holmdel. She was an avid bowler and was creative in arts and crafts.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Linda Lehnert of Red Bank; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Robert Hollenbeck of Colts Neck and Arlene and John Babyak of Williston Park, New York; nine grandchildren, Donald, Diana, Douglas, Nina, Christopher, Eric, Arlene, John and Karen; and three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Kaitlyn, and Jeremy.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald Lehnert (2011); her parents, Bertrand and Henrietta Nelson; and two brothers, Bert Nelson and Raymond Nelson.
Visitation was held May 2 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Funeral services were May 3 at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy was offered at St. Catharine’s RC Church, Holmdel. Entombment followed at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel.
