Linda L. Brazauckas

Linda L. Brazauckas, 78, of Middletown, passed away at her home April 30, 2023. Linda was born Feb. 10, 1945, in Red Bank, the youngest of seven children born to the late Cora Belle and Jacob Wilhalme. She lived in the same home in East Keansburg her entire life. 

Linda was a secretary at the Middletown Township Tax Accessor’s Office for 25 years, retiring in 2007. She was a Gold Star Member of the Middletown Elks Lodge 2179 Ladies Auxiliary. In her free time, Linda could often be found playing some sort of a game, whether it was penny slots in Atlantic City, bingo at the Elks or a card game like Hand and Foot or poker with her friends.

For the past 18 years, Linda and her husband Mike enjoyed winters at their home in Boyton Beach, Florida. Linda was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Her children and grandkids were her world. She will always be fondly remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. 

Linda is survived by her husband of 39 years, Michael Brazauckas, and her three children and their spouses: Colleen and Charlie Spears, Danny and Carol Goodbody, and James and Jessica Goodbody. Linda also leaves behind six grandchildren, Samantha, Nicki Rose, Danielle, Erin, Lilly, and Jacob, one great-granddaughter Rylee, and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was predeceased by her six siblings, William, Robert, Frederick, Richard, Rose and Elizabeth.

Friends and relatives paid their respects from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 4 at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, Belford. A service concluded the evening and a private cremation followed. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Middletown Elks, Special Children’s Committee, 251 Church St., Belford, NJ 07718.
