Lisa Butler, a resident of Little Silver, passed away June 26, 2022, at the age of 60, after struggling for many years with a rare lung disease known as MAC.
She is survived by her husband Mark, her two daughters, Melissa and Halle, and their dog Diesel. Lisa is also survived by her father and stepmother, Stan and Beth Wengert of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, her brother Wil, stepbrother Keith Kurber of Fairbanks, Alaska, and stepbrother Kirk Kurber of Fairplay, Colorado. She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Kurber and stepfather Keith Kurber.
She was a graduate of The University of Colorado and of Fremd High School near Chicago. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Red Bank.
A longtime airline and corporate flight attendant, Lisa made great friends in all corners of the globe, collecting memories everywhere from Narita to Lake Maggiore. She was often traveling, but her happy place was right here in New Jersey, where she loved spending time at the beach with her friends, family and a great book. Everyone knew Lisa to be a kind-hearted, honest individual who was always looking out for those around her. She lit up every room with her energy and great sense of humor and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Lisa will forever be in our hearts. Memorial services were held privately.
