Lisa Hess, 62, passed away Jan. 6, 2023, after courageously battling breast cancer.
As a mother, grandmother and wife, Lisa was a strong, warm and gentle woman who loved her family fiercely. Lisa’s selflessness and compassion spilled into her 40-plus-year career as a nurse, most recently working in radiation oncology at Riverview Medical Center.
Lisa’s infectious generosity and kindness will continue to be admired by all who knew and loved her dearly.
Lisa is survived by her husband Jeffrey Hess; her son Andrew (Kate) Hess; two daughters, Taylor Hess and Cassie Hess; her sister Debra (Joseph) Buragina; and her brother Donald (Patricia) Cruciani. Lisa is also survived by her two grandchildren, Rory and James Hess, whom she adored greatly.
Friends and family were invited for a memorial gathering Jan. 8 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lisa’s name to Kathy’s Kids Foundation at kathyskidsfoundation.org.
