Lorraine Flynn, 73, of Little Silver, passed away from COVID-19 and into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Jan. 20, 2021. Lorraine was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Mastic Beach, Long Island. She moved to Little Silver in 1984.

Lorraine worked multiple retail jobs over the years, retiring in 1995. Lorraine was a longtime member of First Assembly of God churches, currently a member of the church in Shrewsbury. She was active with the women’s prison ministry and a longtime member of Bible Study Fellowship. 

Lorraine is survived by her husband Paul D. Flynn; her two sons, Joseph and James Thom; a stepdaughter and her husband, Colleen and Kevin French; a stepson Patrick Flynn; six grandchildren, Kevin II and Paul French, Zvia Stine and her husband Bailey, Cassi, Isabella and Estelle Thom; and a great-granddaughter Riley Stine. Lorraine was predeceased by her stepdaughter Jayne Flynn.

Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She shared the love of Jesus with everyone she came across. Lorraine will be sorely missed by so many; she was such a warm and loving person. 

A service was held Feb. 6 at the First Assembly of God Church, Shrewsbury. The service was by invitation only and was also available via live feed. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hoving Home at hovinghome.org/donate-now-button/ in her name.

Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
