It is with deep sadness that the family of Luigi Siciliano announced his passing. He died peacefully Dec. 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Luigi was born in 1944 in Atena Lucana, Italy, to Francesco and Francesca Siciliano. A longtime resident of West Long Branch, he studied custom tailoring in Italy from the age of 13 and brought his expert skills to the United States when he was 18 years old.
He was the owner of LS Quality Tailoring in Little Silver for nearly 50 years. His shop was a beloved fixture in town, and his many customers held him in such high regard that they considered him a friend. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A lover of life, Luigi was often mistaken for his doppelgänger, Robert DeNiro.
He is survived by his beloved and loving wife, Joanne Siciliano (née Caruso); his sons, Frank (Gretel) and Enzo; his grandchildren, Rita, Paul and Anna; his sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Smith (Craig) and Lois Caruso (Anthony Lupo); his nephew Daniel Lupo; his niece Kristen Smith; his family in Italy; and his dog Fausto.
Visitation was Jan. 3 at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A memorial Mass was held Jan. 4 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Red Bank.
