Madison Te-Chien Wu and David Blaise Hickman are pleased to announce their engagement.
Ms. Wu is the daughter of Michael Wu and Kate Ketchem of Locust. She grew up in Locust and earned a bachelor’s degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She is currently employed as senior manager of Product Development and Operations at Buffy, a direct-to-consumer bedding brand.
Mr. Hickman is the son of William Hickman and JoAnn Hickman of Sea Bright. He grew up in Leonardo and earned a bachelor’s degree from Coastal Carolina University. He is employed as a broker at Brown & Brown Insurance and is the owner of the events and entertainment company Raw Event Production.
Mr. Hickman proposed on Christmas Day during a cleverly orchestrated White Elephant gift exchange at the couple’s home. The surprise proposal, witnessed by both of their immediate families, left everyone in attendance stunned and overjoyed. The couple is currently planning wedding festivities for 2027.
