Marian “Mitzi” Copperthwaite, age 62, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully July 9, 2026, at Riverview Medical Center.
Born Dec. 18, 1963, in Red Bank, Mitzi spent her life in Monmouth County. She earned a bachelor’s degree and enjoyed a successful career in finance, working as a floor clerk for La Branche Company on Wall Street in New York City before her retirement.
One of Mitzi’s great passions was gardening and, upon retirement, she spent the next 20 years working at Morganville Flower Farm, where she made many wonderful friends and memories.
To know Mitzi was to also know her love for her precious pups. Caesar, Miggles and Sam all had the privilege of being loved by her; she also found great comfort in their dedicated love.
Mitzi was predeceased by her parents, Harry Copperthwaite and Marion (Hogan) Copperthwaite, her sister Anne Marie Copperthwaite and her brother, John Copperthwaite.
She is survived by her loving siblings, Harry (Alicia) Copperthwaite, Mary (Randy) Copperthwaite and Jerry (Joan) Copperthwaite, as well as her nieces and nephews, Torrie, Jamie, Annemarie, Lauren, Jordan and Lauren.
Marian “Mitzi” will be remembered for the life she lived and the memories she shared with those who knew and loved her.
Family and friends were invited to a memorial visitation July 19 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was held July 20 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Red Bank. Burial followed at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
