
Mary Ann Peanoski, 75, of Red Bank, died Nov. 4 at Riverview Medical Center. She was born in Brooklyn to the late Joseph and Mary (née Ruggiero) Competiello. Mary Ann worked as an underwriter for several insurance companies, most recently with Insurance of America.
She was a simple, funny, family-oriented woman. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mary Ann had an affinity for everyone she met; she loved people no matter their relationship to her. Mary Ann was also a homebody; she loved being in her home, whether it was spent reading or entertaining. She loved her home.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, James and Michelle Peanoski; her daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Christian Alfund; her four grandchildren, Haley and Kayla Peanoski and Brady and Matthew Alfund; and her sister, Carmella Competiello.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her son, Robert Peanoski in 1995.
Visitation was held Nov. 6 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A Funeral Liturgy was offered Nov. 7 at St. James RC Church, Red Bank. Burial followed at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
Arrangements are under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
