MaryAnn Mossa, 90, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully Jan. 12, 2024.

MaryAnn was born in Long Branch and raised in Perth Amboy; she was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School. Following high school, she married the love of her life, Tony. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Holmdel and raised their family.

MaryAnn’s interests included going to Broadway plays, shows at the Garden State Arts Center, traveling and dancing with Tony.

MaryAnn loved to reminisce about her charmed life growing up in Perth Amboy. Whether it be humorous family stories, the stores on Smith Street, her father’s cocktail lounge or traveling into the city with her mother to see DiMaggio play or hear Sinatra sing.

While MaryAnn enjoyed many activities, she most loved her family. She lived for her grandchildren.

MaryAnn was predeceased by her husband C. Anthony Mossa and her daughter Deborah Mossa.

She is survived by her sons, John Mossa of Red Bank, Joseph Mossa and his wife Lindsay of Allenwood, and Anthony Mossa and his wife Kristin of Fair Haven; her beloved grandchildren, Angela and her husband Edward, Gianna, Mackenzie, Gabriella and Nicholas; and her great-grandchild Ciro John.

Visitation was Jan. 15 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian burial was offered Jan. 16 at St. Benedict’s Church, Holmdel. Entombment followed at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
