Marybeth Carol Foley-Grogan, 60, of Middletown, passed away Sept. 14, 2026.
Marybeth was born Oct. 11, 1965, in Jersey City, to John and Sheila Foley. Her hometown brought her the love of her life, Brian James Grogan, her adoring husband of 35 years, by whom she is survived. She is also survived by her two beautiful and loving daughters, Jillian Sheila Grogan and Gianna Elizabeth Grogan, all of Middletown.
Marybeth’s family was the light and joy of her life. A devoted wife and mother, she treasured time with her husband and children, whether it was spent at home watching a movie on the couch or exploring the world on one of countless cherished family vacations. Her love, however, was never limited by blood. She had a rare talent for making others feel like family, having extended her home, hands and heart to a number of honorary daughters and sons who will always share in loving her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sheila Foley. She was also predeceased by her grandmother, Veronica Ryan; her aunt and uncle, Carol and James Ryan; her aunt, Patricia Foley; and her sister-in-law, Kristen Black.
A viewing was held Sept. 18 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A memorial service was held Sept. 19 at the funeral home. Loved ones were asked to wear orange, Marybeth’s favorite color, or other bright colors that reflected the light she brought into the lives of all who were fortunate enough to love her.
