Faith Kim Maxson, 81, a longtime resident of Atlantic Highlands, passed away July 10. Kim was born in Jersey City and raised in Metuchen, a daughter of the late Madeline and Fred Campanola. She moved to Atlantic Highlands in her 20s and has lived here most of her life.

Kim was a teacher at Bayview Elementry School in Belford for 26 years, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed gardening, aerobics and riding her bicycle. Kim belonged to Central Baptist Church for several years before joining the United Methodist Church of Atlantic Highlands where she became very involved in church activities and their bible study. Kim even met her husband Ernest at church.

Kim was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Ernest Maxson, in 2011. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Chris Donahue of Atlantic Highlands. She also leaves behind two brothers, Fred Campanola Jr. and his wife Marilyn of Delaware and Arlen Campanola and his wife Fern of Maine, along with two grandchildren, Hannah Martin and Nicholas Donahue.

Friends and relatives may pay their respects July 13 at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals, Belford. The funeral service was celebrated July 14 at the Atlantic Highlands-Navesink United Methodist Church, Atlantic Highlands The burial and committal followed at Bayview Cemetery.
