TINTON FALLS – Mazza Recycling held a Grand Opening ceremony of its brand new, state-of-the-art single stream recycling facility Sept. 10.

The day consisted of speeches and a ribbon cutting by James Mazza, president, Dominick Mazza, vice president, and special guest Monmouth County Freeholder Director Tom Arnone. Mazza Recycling’s 55-acre recycling center houses the 70,000-square-foot facility, which came to life during the event, which included food trucks, educational tours and nearly 150 guests from local Monmouth County municipalities.

Guests included State Sen. Vin Gopal, Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso, Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling, members of the Board of Chosen Freeholders, and more who showed their support in Mazza’s effort to increase recycling across the region.

The event allowed Mazza to provide local recycling coordinators with continuing education credits toward their recycling careers, with help from Jaye Sims, assistant district recycling coordinator. The day was also made possible due to Mazza’s team, including Christian Morgan, Chris Bergacs, Casandra Maggio, Kevin Boyle, Chris Noonan, Juan Velazquez, Brynn Mosello and many more. The team hopes this project is the start of many more groundbreaking endeavors that come to fruition, leading to a more sus-tainable future for the local community and beyond.Mazza Recycling is al- most complete with construction of its brand-new single stream recycling facility. As Mazza’s pledge to invest $15 million into single stream recycling, this facility will serve as their commitment to recover more recyclable material in Monmouth County.
