MHA Celebrates Life at Its Fall Gala

496

SHREWSBURY – The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County’s Fall Celebracion, Viva La Vida, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15, at Raven & the Peach in Fair Haven.
This year’s theme, Viva La Vida, was chosen because of its uplifting translation: Celebrate life. Guests will enjoy a Spanish-themed menu with tapas and stations, sangria, open bar, silent auction and entertainment by The Haven.
Tickets are $150 and unique sponsorships are available that include reserved seating. Proceeds from the event will support MHA’s free programs and services that are available to all families in Monmouth County.
Ramon Solhkhah, M.D., who is chairman of psychiatry of Jersey Shore University Medical Center and corporate medical director of Meridian Behavioral Health Services, is being honored for his tremendous efforts to advocate, educate and treat those affected by mental illness and drug addiction in Monmouth County.  Solhkhah has participated in numerous forums throughout Monmouth County where he offered information and outlined treatment options for those addicted to heroin and prescription painkillers. His dedication to not only treating individuals, but educating our communities, is greatly respected by MHA, as his efforts continue to fight the discrimination that surrounds mental illness.  Solhkhah’s actions and commitment embody MHA’s mission; promoting mental health and wellness and improving the care and treatment of persons affected by mental illness.
