Michelle Bennett, executive vice president of Newport Capital Group, will receive the Good Scout Award from the Monmouth Council Boy Scouts of America at the Eastern Monmouth Good Scout Reception Dec. 1 at the Navesink Country Club in Red Bank.
The Good Scout Award is presented to members of the community who, in their daily lives, exemplify the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law. Recipients are chosen for their outstanding community service as evidenced by the interest and leadership given to many worthwhile organizations as well as the respect and esteem in which they are held by their colleagues.
“We look for prominent people in the community” as recipients of the Good Scout Award, said Will Montanaro, COO of Monmouth Council Boy Scouts of America. “Newport has always been a supporter of the organization, and we identified Michelle as a prominent woman who does good work in the community.” “I am honored to be recognized by Monmouth County Boy Scouts and am so appreciative of the good work the Scouts do in our community,” Bennett said.
Bennett is a founding partner at Newport Capital Group. A Middletown resident, she currently serves as an advisory board member of the DiLella School of Real Estate at Villanova University and a member of the board of trustees for Spring- point Senior Living where she chairs the Compensation Committee and sits on the Investment, Audit and Compliance committees.
