Patricia Ellen (O’Neill) Miller, 87, formerly of Edison, passed away June 20 at Brighton Gardens in Middletown. Born in Elizabeth Nov. 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Jean (Johnston) O’Neill. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Miller.
Pat was a graduate of Union high School. She was a founding member of the Plainfield Curling Club and was an avid and competitive curler, playing nationally and in Canada. She loved Wildwood vacations, sewing, knitting, reading, gardening and cooking: her birthday cakes will be long-remembered.
Pat was devoted to her family. She is survived by her children: Joan Butler and her husband Brian, of Holliston, Massachusetts, John and his wife Jeanne, of North Caldwell, and Janice Langanke and her husband Steve, of Middletown; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a niece and nephew and many cousins. She is predeceased by her sister, Genevieve.
A Memorial Visitation was held June 25 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Funeral services were at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
