Nancy Coakley passed away peacefully in her sleep Jan. 15, 2024. She was a Fair Haven resident for over 50 years.
Her smiling face, bright pink lipstick and quiet demeanor were known by many. She worked at Mainstay Federal Savings & Loan in Red Bank for many years and First Atlantic Credit Union at Fort Monmouth at the time of her retirement. She was a member of the Christ Church United Methodist in Fair Haven.
Nancy enjoyed reading the local newspaper every day, tending to her garden and many houseplants, and shopping excursions. She loved most being at home with her cat Buffy and having family and friends pop in the back door for a friendly visit. Her home hosted many family gatherings over the years.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Spencer and Rachel Miller, her beloved cat Buffy, her husband Thomas and her sisters, Susan Brueckner and JoAnn Voorhees.
She is survived by her daughters, Doris Rhein (Jay) and Carol Cressman (Bill), son Jim Coakley (Linda), grandchildren, JC Coakley and Ally Baker (Dylan) and her great-grandson Brayden.
Visitation was Jan. 21 and 22 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A funeral home service was held Jan, 22. Burial followed at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
