Nancy Stanley Gulick, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully March 11, 2026, at home in Little Silver. She was 80 years old.
Born Dec. 14, 1945, in Long Branch, Nancy was the cherished daughter of the late Edwin R. Stanley and Ella Toner.
Nancy grew up in Middletown Village and attended Red Bank Catholic. She married Henry G. Gulick and moved into the Gulick family home (The Hill) on Holland Road, where together they created a warm and loving home. She later happily split her time between Little Silver and Weston, Vermont.
Nancy was an exceptional and devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by Hank, her loving husband of many years; her oldest son, Greg and his wife Elizabeth and their children, Will (fiancée Amanda) and Grace; and her second son, Peter, along with his fiancée Caroline LaViolette and her two boys, Gabriel and Daniel.
Nancy brought energy and enthusiasm to everything she did. She was actively involved with the Junior League and the Monmouth County Historical Society. She worked as a mountain guide at Stratton Mountain Ski Resort in Vermont, sharing her love of the outdoors. An avid golfer and tennis player, she was also a longtime member of both Rumson Country Club and Seabright Beach Club. Her warmth, grace, and zest for life made her a cherished presence in every room she entered.
Nancy’s loving spirit, her infectious smile, and the countless happy memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.
A memorial visitation will be held at 10 a.m. and a Mass at 11 a.m. May 8 at The Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven. A reception will follow at Rumson Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s memory to The Friends of the Monmouth County Parks. These donations will be used at Historic Portland Place, which was dear to Nancy’s heart. Thompson Memorial Home of Red Bank has been entrusted with the arrangements.
