John W. Noweski, 71, formerly of Belford, passed away after a long illness June 20, surrounded by his family.
John was born in Newark July 28, 1947, a son of the late Agnes and Anthony Noweski. John married and moved his family to Belford where they lived for 45 years before he and his wife retired to Barnegat two years ago. John was proud to be a Teamster. He worked for the Teamsters Local 560 since he was in high school.
John was a dedicated family man. He worked to provide for his family and when he was not working he was spending quality time with them, whether it was taking the family on a road trip, coaching his girls’ softball teams or simply staying at home and watching a Yankees game. Once his grandchildren came along, John’s world revolved around them.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years Linda Noweski and their two daughters, Linda and her husband Michael Parulis, and Krystle Noweski. He also leaves behind his much adored grandchildren; Kayla, Michael and Brooke Lin.
A Memorial Mass was celebrated June 24 at St. Catherine’s RC Church in Middletown. Entombment of ashes followed at Fairview Cemetery.
