RUMSON – The whatSUP paddleboard race was held at Victory Park July 27. In addition to having a bit of good fun, the goal of the event was to raise money to benefit The Unterberg Children’s Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center. This year the $90,000 the racers raised competing on 1- and 5-mile courses will go toward the renovation of the pediatric waiting room and triage area, said Unterberg medical director Meg Fisher.
