Patricia Mastro, 54, of Middletown, passed away Sept. 17, 2024. Born in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, Patricia earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Temple University. She was a beloved teacher at Poly Prep in Brooklyn for 28 years, touching the lives of many students with her dedication and passion for education.
Patricia is survived by the love of her life, Steven, her husband of 27 years, and their children, Shane (Jordan), Patrick and Megan. She is also survived by her sister Aimee Keough (Martin), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Ed and Helen Tycenski.
Patricia loved going to the beach, reading and traveling with friends, but most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family. Known for her warmth, sense of humor and caring personality, Patricia will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
The family asked those attending the wake Sept. 23 at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home to wear green. A funeral Mass was held Sept. 24 at St. Mary’s Church in Middletown. The family asked guests to wear pastels to the Mass. A private interment followed at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, Pennsylvania.
