Patrick J. Connolly, 73, of Lincroft, passed away Nov. 18, 2023. Born in New York, he resided with his family in Lincroft for over 40 years.
Patrick was a partner at First New York Securities, where he worked as an International Equity Trader before retiring in 2012. He was one-of-a-kind, with a personality larger than life. Patrick was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He treasured his grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. He especially enjoyed watching their sports and activities – you would often find him cheering from the sidelines.
He will be remembered for his generous heart and his wonderful sense of humor.
Patrick was preceded in death by his father Patrick Connolly; mother Anne “Nancy” Connolly; and uncle Thomas Connolly.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine Connolly; two sons, Brendan (Kathleen) Connolly of Holmdel, and Timothy (Alison) Connolly of Tinton Falls; aunt Anne Connolly of Towson, Maryland; seven grandchildren, Braeden, Molly, Patrick, William, Kelly, Michael and Kaitlyn; brother-in-law Chuck (Mary) Daalder of Tinton Falls; and sister-in-law Mary Ellen (Stephen) Asaro of Middletown.
Visitation was held Nov. 24 at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral Mass was held Nov. 25 at St. Leo the Great Church, Lincroft. Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
