Pauline Drazin, 98, of Rumson, passed away peacefully in her home April 16, 2022, surrounded by her children. The daughter of Celia and Jacob Bornstein, Pauline was born and raised in Newark and graduated from Weequahic High School. Her family summered in Belmar where she met the love of her life, Louis M. Drazin Esq. They married in 1949 and together had three sons.
Pauline was an accomplished artist. A graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City, she spent her early career as a fashion illustrator for Steinbachs Department Store. In her later career she worked as an interior designer.
Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the arts, gardening, summers at the Jersey Shore and winters in Miami Beach. Pauline served on the board of the Riverview Foundation and was a member of Sisterhood at B’nai Israel in Rumson. Pauline had an enormous heart and was an elegant, proud and always classy lady.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Louis M. Drazin (founder of Drazin & Warshaw). She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Dennis and Nona, Ronald and Carrie and Brian and Beth, as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who will all miss her daily and carry her in their hearts forever.
