Carol Hunnemann Pelton, 81, of Middletown, passed away Jan. 29 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. She was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived in Middletown for over 53 years. Carol worked as a customer service representative for Fidelity Union Bank for 20 years, retiring in 1998. She loved puzzles of any kind and was an avid reader. Carol especially enjoyed her annual vacation with family in the Outer Banks, South Carolina.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Carolyn Pelton, Dave and Cindy Pelton, Kevin and Arline Pelton, and Steven and Becky Pelton; grandchildren, Tyler, Sean, Lindsey, Kelsey, Krista, Marissa, Matthew, Katie, Sophie, Kristina and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren, Brendan, Noah, Kevin Jr. and Lia; brother Arthur Hunnemann; and nephew Derek Humphrey.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Pelton in 2007.
Visitation was held Feb. 2 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Funeral services were during visitation.
