Rita Anne Ulan (née Pribula), 94, of Middletown, formerly from Little Silver, passed away peacefully July 11, 2021. Born and raised in Perth Amboy, she graduated from Perth Amboy High School and Ohio University. She formerly worked as a medical technician at St. Mary’s Hospital in Orange and the Perth Amboy Medical Center. She served as president of the Little Silver PTA, Junior Women’s Club and Evening Membership Department. She was an active member of the Church of the Nativity Rosary Altar Society, Nifty Fifties and Folk Choir. She was also instrumental in raising money for several Monmouth County charities.

Rita had a love for reading, gardening, travel and most importantly, spending time with close friends and family.

Rita was predeceased by her husband Joseph Ulan in 2014, parents Mary and Stephen Pribula, and sister Claire Stofega. She is survived by daughters Cindy and husband Jeff Babka, Donna and husband Dr. Jeff France and Lora and husband Joe Campbell; six grandchildren, Scott, Christoph, Cara, Brett, Nick and Ryan; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Ella; and niece Joan Stofega.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 14 at the Church of the Nativity. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VNA of Central Jersey Home Care and Hospice, Holmdel. Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
