Roger H. Lyman

2942

Roger H. Lyman, formerly of Fair Haven and Little Silver, passed away Dec. 28, 2020 at his home in Florida.

Born Jan. 17, 1948, to Reginald Pond and Katherine Jane Lyman, he is survived by his sister, Joanne Lyman of Tinton Falls.

A graduate of Rumson-Fair Haven High School, Roger earned his bachelor’s degree from Moravian College and was an educator and administrator at Brookdale Community College for nearly 30 years. He had a keen eye for design, enjoyed the arts, nature, gardening and travel, was an avid reader and dog lover.

Smart, loving and fun, his bright smile, mischievous eyes and wicked wit will be missed by so many. He was a privilege to know and gave treasured meaning to the word “friend.”

A private service of interment was held Jan. 19, 2021, off the shores of Florida and a gathering in his honor is anticipated later this year.

Donations in his memory may be made to Brookdale Foundation, the Roger Lyman Scholarship Fund, at Brookdale Community College Foundation, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ  07738.
