Rose M. Broccoli, 74, of Red Bank, passed away after a yearlong battle with congestive heart failure.

Rose was born in the Bronx and graduated from Washingtonville High School in New York. She worked for World Subaru and was a longtime member of the Red Bank Elks #233. Rose “broke the glass ceiling” when she became the first female Exalted Ruler in the state of New Jersey for the Red Bank Elks #233. She served in this role for two and a half years but remained very active even after stepping down from her role; she remained on the board of trustees for the last three years.

Rose was a fierce woman with so many friends and family who loved her dearly. She truly loved her family at the Elks.

Rose is survived by her daughter Tracie Dawn Strack and her wife Shawn; her son Christopher Scott Strack and his wife Theresa; her son Daniel Alan Strack; her grandson Spencer Luzerne Strack; her brother Anthony Louis Broccoli Jr. and his partner Donald; her niece Jennifer Elizabeth Boffa and her husband Tommy and their son Thomas Jack Boffa; her niece (and god daughter) Kelly Patricia Peterson, her husband Zach and their daughter Norah Grace Peterson; her niece Alyssa Carey Broccoli; and so many more cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rose was predeceased by her father Anthony Louis Broccoli Sr., her mother Jennie Teresa Boyce and her husband Robert Luzerne Boyce.

The family invites you to her Celebration of Life which will be held at 3 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Red Bank Elks #233, Red Bank. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rose’s name to the Red Bank Elks #233.
