Jean Campbell Rosen, age 74, passed away Nov. 19 at Riverview Medical Center. Jean was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Dorothy Carrigan Campbell and Richard Wilson Campbell. She was predeceased by her longtime companion of 28 years, David Stevens of Holmdel, and her two brothers, Robert (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and Richard (Marietta, Georgia) Campbell.
She is survived by her three children, Deborah Rosen, David Rosen and his wife Denise, and Elizabeth Forsyth and her husband Gordon. Grandchildren are Jack Fitzpatrick of Mesa, Arizona; Nicholas, Michael and Thomas Rosen of Ellicott City, Maryland; and Leigh, Grace and Gordon Forsyth of Fair Haven.
Jean was a resident of Rumson from 1978 to 1994 where she raised her three children. She lived in Long Branch from 1994 to 2009, then resided in Lakewood from 2009 to present. Over the years she became a well-known Realtor at the Jersey Shore, starting at Bahrs Real Estate and moving on to Coldwell Banker for many years. Jean was still practicing real estate in her final year.
She was also an avid bridge player. Jean enjoyed hosting bridge as well as partaking in the recreation on a regular basis. Jean was loved by many for her kind and generous personality. If you needed anything, she was the type of friend to be there in an instant.
Jean will be deeply missed by all who knew her and grew close to her in her lifetime.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, Dec. 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank, with a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Flowers are appreciated. A private burial service will be held at Lorraine Park Cemetery, 5608 Dogwood Road, Baltimore, Maryland, at a later date to be announced.
