Henry Hudson girls track coach Sarah Scheffer paid tribute to senior Corina Vidal.

“There is not much else a coach could ask of Corina Vidal. Throughout her four years at Henry Hudson she has given much of her time, her passion, and her determination to the sport of track. Throughout it all, Corina has consistently demonstrated what hard work and dedication to your goals can achieve – she is the single most decorated runner in Henry Hudson Regional School’s history. In her freshman year, Corina finished 30th in the Monmouth County Championships in the 1600m, a race she would go on to win as a junior. She is a five-time NJSIAA Group 1 State Champion, earning that achievement twice in Cross Country in 2018 and 2019; twice in the indoor season, in 2019 in the 1600m and in 2020 in the 800m; and once in the 1600m in the outdoor season of 2019. She has been recognized as an All-Shore First Team athlete, All-Group 1 Second Team athlete, and by the Shore Coaches Track Association as a Distance Runner of the Year. Throughout her high school career, she has continued to improve year after year and we look forward to seeing what she will accomplish at the next level. The only thing we can still ask of her is to keep making us proud. We wish Corina the best of luck as she continues her running career at the University of Rhode Island this fall!”
