Sara Herring passed away Dec. 27, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, she was a true Southern lady. She lived most of her adult life in Little Silver.
She is survived by her loving husband Jeffrey Herring and four children, Mary Chamberlain (Donald), Jane Dome (David), Michael, and John (Caitlin). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Brian, Jack, Austin, Ryan, Lauren, Caroline, Emma and James.
Sara loved lottery scratch-offs, reading the last page of a book first, and days on the beach. She inherited her mother’s artistic talent and enjoyed painting. If it had glitter, she loved it. She had a particular knack for removing stains from clothing; she loved the challenge of a good stain. Most of all, Sara loved her family.

A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven.
