Theodor H. Schroeder, 92, passed away peacefully with his family by his side May 29 at the Atrium at Navesink Harbor.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Theodor and Helen (Ohland) Schroeder. He resided in Maplewood, Sea Girt and Wall before moving to Red Bank. 

Theodor worked for 60 years as a self-employed maritime consultant before retiring. Ted proudly served our country during WWII in the U.S. Navy.

He is predeceased by his parents and his brother Edward Metzger.

Surviving is his wife of 63 years Martha (Flickinger) Schroeder; his children and their spouses: Faith (Mitchell) Weiner of Middletown, Hope (Ken) Olenyik of Brielle and Frost (Felicia) Schroeder of Fair Haven; as well as his five beloved grandchildren: Alexandra, Ted, Lauren, Hunter and Elin.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 15 at noon at the Church in Brielle, 821 Riverview Drive, Brielle. All other arrangements are under the direction of the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Theodor’s memory to Doctors Without Borders or The Church in Brielle.
