With deep sorrow, the family of Shane Connor Taylor announced his passing Jan. 31, 2025, at the age of 34. 

Shane was born April 9, 1990, in Long Branch to Ronald and Patricia Taylor. Shane attended Red Bank Catholic High School and was a member of Ironworkers Local 40 for 12 years.

Shane was a loving brother, son, cousin and friend to many. He had a heart of gold and a contagious positive energy. Shane was a charismatic jokester, a phenomenal dancer and a lover of people and animals. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, automobiles and the brotherhood of his fellow Ironworker Local 40 members. Shane also gave the best hugs!

Shane is survived by his mother Patricia, father Ronald, stepmother Nancy, brother RJ, sister Paige and her fiance Karl, and extended family members who will miss him dearly every day. He was predeceased by many loved ones, including his brother Patrick, grandparents, aunts, uncles and extended family members.

Visitation was held Feb. 6 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 7 at St. James Church, Red Bank. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Shane to the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall St., Eatontown, NJ 07724 or monmouthcountyspca.org.
