Norman R. Sickels, 81, passed away Dec. 4. He was born in Long Branch to the late Norman F. and Adeline Sickels.
Norman was a 20-year member of the Red Bank Planning Board and the director of wine
imports at Allied Beverage, winning many awards through the decades.
He was predeceased by his son Daniel in 2006. Norman is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Gay (neé Shafer), and his loving children and their spouses, Deborah and Andrew Robinson and Christopher and Christine Sickels. Also surviving are his four dear grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life was held Dec. 9 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A service was held Dec. 10 at St. George’s-by-the-River Episcopal Church in Rumson with private interment following.
