Fourth grade students at Saint James School in Red Bank organized a clothing drive for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Program.
The drive, held March 23 – 30, netted nearly 1,000 pounds of gently used clothing, shoes, stuffed animals, blankets and linens.
“The children realized that there is a need,” said fourth grade teacher Kathleen Kelly. “We understand it will benefit people in our area and there are so many people just here in Monmouth County who could really use some good will.”
