Stanley John Baranowski

Stanley John Baranowski passed away Jan. 8, 2025. He was born Dec. 25, 1934, in Perth Amboy. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Bendick) Baranowski.

Stan graduated from Perth Amboy High School Class of 1954. He was active in basketball, track and All-State chorus. A proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps, Stan served two years on the USS Wisconsin as captain’s orderly. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 338 in Leonardo.

Stan appeared in the 1994 movie “Clerks” using the screen name Lee Bendick.

He was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Helen Baranowski, brothers Edward and Joseph Baranowski, sister Barbara Halek and nephew John Baranowski.

He is also survived by his nieces, Dawn, Linda, Carol Ann and Cherylyn, and nephews, William, Jacob, Jason and Paul Theodore.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at 3 p.m. Feb. 8 at Living Word Christian Church, 47 Memorial Parkway (Route 36), Atlantic Highlands.

Stan was deeply loved and will be missed.

Services are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation, 43 Taylor Ave., Manasquan.
